We visited the RAK Animal Welfare Centre today for a check-up for our cat, and honestly, it’s one of those rare places you can truly trust. It’s peaceful, clean, and filled with heart. The doctors and staff are super kind, treating every furry friend with care and attention — I felt it deeply ❤️ There’s also an area where you can see cats and dogs available for adoption — all are hoping for a forever home. The centre is so well maintained, it doesn’t feel like a sad shelter at all. It feels like a place of hope. And there's so much of it ❤️

In Loving Memory of Lucifer 2018 – 24 May 2025 Today, we said goodbye to our beloved cat, Lucifer. Lucifer came into our lives in 2021, after being rescued by RAK Animal Welfare Centre from a difficult life as a stray. From the moment he entered our home, he became part of our hearts. He was gentle, soulful, and wise beyond words. He brought warmth to every corner of our home and became not just a pet—but a friend, a companion, and family. Over the past few years, Lucifer battled chronic kidney disease with quiet strength. He endured daily treatments, medications, hospital stays, and discomfort—but through it all, he stayed close, stayed loving, and stayed brave. He waited for us—held on while we were abroad, and welcomed us home in early May. In the last few days, he walked with us one more time, curled up near my pillow, and said goodbye in his own quiet way. At exactly 10:00 AM today, he passed peacefully, in our arms. Surrounded by love. Free from pain. Full of dignity. We lit a candle for him, as we do in our Buddhist practice, and said our farewell: “You are safe now. You are loved. Rest well, beautiful soul. May your next journey bring you back to us—in peace, in light, in another life. Perhaps, as our child.” Lucifer, you were deeply loved. You changed us. You will always be part of our hearts. In his memory, we are making a donation to RAK Animal Welfare Centre—the place where his journey began. If you feel moved, please consider supporting them so more animals like him find the love they deserve. Forever our boy. Forever loved.

Me and my husband have been volunteering at RAK for 4 months now. It has been a deeply rewarding experience. It's incredibly fulfilling to see animals thrive and find loving homes, the staff has genuine love for all its little ones. I encourage you to go and adopt from them, if you can’t adopt foster and if you can’t foster volunteer or donate! They are truly an amazing team and it’s both a great place and a great way to contribute to the community. Vivi & Yasser

This place and the Sheik of Ras Al kheima are beautiful people mashAllah. I have been feeling so helpless feeding the strays where I live but here there is so much love and soul to help the animals as if it is nothing and just a part of their duty. A true inspiration and I look forward to helping as I can
