Dear Reservation Team, I am writing to express my disappointment with the handling of my recent booking (Confirmation No.: NH20017422291596). Today, one of our clients experienced an unfortunate and sudden family emergency, making it impossible for them to travel. We promptly informed the hotel about this situation, explaining that in such circumstances, it would be fair and humane to extend support to the guest. However, the hotel has clearly denied offering any refund, which we feel is neither customer-friendly nor in the spirit of compassion during such unforeseen events.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Citymax was bad enough that I feel it’s important to share for other travelers. From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was a mess. The line at the reception was extremely long, with only a couple of staff handling a high volume of guests. I waited nearly 30–45 minutes just to get checked in. When I finally reached the front, the receptionists were unprofessional and dismissive, making me feel like I was bothering them rather than being welcomed. One of the biggest issues during my stay was the non-stop loud music coming from the club on the ground floor. The music was so loud that I could feel the bass through the walls well past midnight, every single night. It was impossible to relax, let alone sleep. To make things worse, the environment in and around the hotel felt extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. There were many women inside the club who appeared to be prostitutes, openly approaching guests. This gave the hotel a very sleazy and unsafe vibe, which is the last thing I expected when booking a supposedly reputable hotel. When I raised these concerns with the staff, I was met with rudeness and indifference. There was no attempt to resolve the noise issue or address the discomfort I expressed about the club and its crowd. It was very clear that guest comfort is not a priority at this hotel. Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at Citymax, especially if you’re looking for a peaceful, clean, and respectful environment. The hotel may be affordable, but it comes at the cost of basic hospitality, safety, and comfort.

❤️I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel for the past week, and I’d like to highlight the exceptional service provided by Mr. Nandhu at the reception. From the moment I checked in, he was always welcoming, polite, and attentive to every detail. He made sure my stay was comfortable, quickly assisted with any requests, and was always ready with a friendly smile and helpful suggestions about the hotel and nearby places. His professionalism and warm attitude truly made a positive difference to my experience. Thank you, Mr. Nandhu, for making my stay so pleasant! Looking forward to visiting again.

I recently stayed at Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai and had a mixed experience. The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely its affordable price, especially considering the central location in Bur Dubai. It's a good option if you're traveling on a budget. However, the hotel was very crowded, which made the check-in and common areas quite hectic. The rooms felt quite congested, with limited space to move around comfortably, especially if you're staying with more than one person. The parking situation was also quite tight. Although the hotel does provide its own parking area, it's very congested and hard to navigate, especially during peak hours. That said, it's still a plus that they at least have dedicated parking available in such a busy area. Overall, it's a budget-friendly hotel with basic amenities, but don't expect much in terms of space or quietness. Good for short stays if you're mainly looking to save on accommodation.

Even though i only stayed one night, i got a feeling of what this hotel had to offer. For the most part, my stay here was a good one. For one, the room was clean and modest, upscale looking. There was complimentary water, coffee, tea, a tub, room service, and nice tv offering various channels. Outside my room, i found an amazing (however a bit crowded) rooftop pool with a view of the Dubai skyline, a spacious gym, friendly receptionists, and, best of all, free parking. I also found the late check-out time (12pm) to be quite beneficial. Made my stay all the better. One negative: the bed was too stiff (could be personal preference). Most hotel beds I've stayed in have decent beds. This one, not so much. All in all, i would most likely stay here the next time i'm in Dubai and looking for a place to stay. At 127AED/night, it's a no-brainer.
